The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has released the ATLAS of the new proposed boundaries. The boundaries have been released but there is a big problem for most of the areas. Majengo is a proud member of Kamukunji for a very long time now but something else has come up. We simply don't exist in the Kamukunji Constituency anymore!!! You don't believe it then take a look at the lower map.



Majengo is no longer in Kamkunji according to the new proposed boundaries of constituencies.
So where are we? Well take a look at the following map:


Now I wonder if you are ready to vote in Starehe Constituency for sure!!! We are also placed in the Kariakor/Ziwani Ward.This is totally unacceptable for Majengorians. Please give your comment on the matter.

It has been over a month now since the demolitions took effect in different parts of the country that are close to the Aircraft zones. The demolitions hit the headlines of many news media houses with the government claiming that those whose houses were being demolished had acquired land illegally. This stories later on proved to be just an lalaby that the Government was singing to the ears of those affected. The true story was because the houses posed a security threat to the aircraft bases due to the Operation Linda Nchi that is still on-going in Somalia.

Unconfirmed rumors stated that yesterday Mongolo had a hard day out when he was comfronted by angry Ziwani youths who were pretty much angry at him for something they claim he did. The agry youth confonted the Young counsellor at the city hall demanding that Mongolo gives them their right.

Digging a bit deep, it is said that Mongolo had diverted some money which was intended for the youth in an unspecified football tournament to his own pocket. Now this got even more heated when the youth wanted to turn chaotic as they demanded that Mongolo explain to them where their money went to.

In defence, Mongolo denied having any involvment in the embezzlement of the money and said that all this was just a misunderstanding by the youth. He said that the money was used to pay football officials who administered the matches during the tournament.

After a very long time without seeing the Kamukunji MP, Yusuf Hassan Abdi has finally decided to pay Majengo and its environs a visit. It is believed that he will come to Majengo today and pray at the Memorial Hall Mosque at lunch hours. Its finally time that after so long we get to glance an eye on the MP whose term will be ending soon.


The questioon that should stick in our ming is this,"Has he Delivered what he promised?" Ever since the elections the people from this area and its environs have been left out and virtual been forgotten. The last development we saw was that of Simon Mbugua and this time around Yusuf, who has been in office for a short time now, hasn't brought anything good our way.

The last time the MP paid this area a visit was during the Eid celebrations which he used the opportunity to thank the residents for electing him.
